Porsche 996 Cup Electronic Power Steering pump

Power Steering pump used in racing and street applications. Famous for its usage in the 996 Cup car. One of the most iconic electronic PS pumps ever to exists and a very easy install in any street or race car. Cleaned and inspected

We clean the parts from excessive muck, dirt and oil. Do a visual inspection for damage or other anomalities. We also run the pump to verify that it works as expected.

Pump requires a 70-80A fuse and proper hydraulic hoses are preferred but some people get away with AN hoses (PTFE). For oil it requires so called zentral, thats german for hydraulic oil. Widely available and used in many PS systems in the car world, usually green to the color.

The unit has 5 wires, plus and minus that require a good solid connection and a proper wire. For control there is 3 wires, 1 wire lets the ECU know the pump is spinning the other 2 can be used for key on. The pump does a softstart if the 2 wires are connected sequentially. When the pump starts it will spin ujp to max RPM and then settle to "cruise speed".

Output is 16x1.5mm and the return is 10mm hose.
